To actually achieve our targets, we use the CO2 Performance Ladder in the Netherlands to test where we are and where our action points are for CO2-aware actions in our business operations and in the implementation of our projects.
VINCI and VINCI Energies’ ambition is to reduce CO2 emissions by 40% between 2018 and 2030 for scope 1 and 2. In the Netherlands, we are committed to reducing our direct emissions by 60% by 2030. The target for scope 3 is 20% in 2030 compared to 2019. We ask all our employees, managers and suppliers to contribute to this when developing plans and carrying out work. The main areas of focus are energy and fuel savings, the efficient use of materials and the use of renewable energy. We see that there are still gains to be made here in our own operations and with our customers. To achieve our objectives, we use the CO2 Performance Ladder in the Netherlands. This allows us to check where we stand and where our action points are for CO2-conscious action in our business operations, in the business units and in the execution of our projects.
