‘Our core values? I can really use them in practice’
“When I started at Bosman Bedrijven, it had already been acquired by VINCI Energies. The brand Bosman Bedrijven continued to exist, as it fits the brand strategy of VINCI Energies. It is clear what we stand for in our market. Prior to this, I worked for an organisation that had to give up more and more autonomy after an acquisition and that is not the case here. At Bosman Bedrijven I was given a great deal of freedom in my role as all-round project manager from the start, and I was given room to be enterprising. In noticed that continuing to develop within the organisation was encouraged and facilitated. Although I know that our network has associated and perhaps complementary expertise, I have not needed to use it yet. Bosman already had a strong and expansive network, that is part and parcel of this business. I do notice that being part of VINCI Energies provides support.
“Our core values? I can really use them in practice”
The core values that underpin our work at Bosman are extremely important in the type of work and projects we do. I can really use them in practice. Those values are completely internalised, as it were. Our projects are generally complex, large and high-end, for example Edge Stadium in Amsterdam. Those types of projects tend to take years of intensive cooperation with the client, a number of subcontractors and other partners. If your communication is open and transparent, it is much easier and much more comfortable. It also encourages a good relationship, which is important should something go pear-shaped in a project. Solidarity also proves to be important. You can really build up lasting relations on the basis of those values.”
